Despite this increase, Alonso Pérez Rico, the head of this agency, pointed out that at least 911 of the total are mild cases and did not need to be hospitalized like the rest.

However, the Incidence Rate of Active cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, is gradually rising in the different municipalities, especially in Tijuana, a city that in the last few days registered an incidence of 17, 16, 19.58 and now at 20.84.

It is worth mentioning that of the 1,015 active cases, 380 are located in Tijuana, 352 in Mexicali, 170 in Ensenada, 40 in Rosarito, 39 in Tecate, 28 in San Quintin and six in San Felipe.

Although more than 100 new cases are being observed daily in the region, the Secretary mentioned that this does not compare with the second wave of infections, when 350 people were testing positive daily. Today Baja California accumulates 54 thousand and 98 confirmed cases and 8 thousand 873 deaths.
