According to what was reported this Sunday, August 8, 2021, both state and federal authorities agree that Baja California should return to yellow, after the increase of coronavirus infections in the region.

Two weeks ago, the federal government had changed the color of the Epidemiological Traffic Light Chart for the state, however, local authorities decided that it would remain green, days later it is official: we are back in yellow.

This is due to the fact that 900 active cases of coronavirus were detected, and the cases, according to the Secretary of Health of Baja California, Alonso Pérez Rico, continue to increase in Mexicali, Tijuana and Ensenada.

This means that sports centers, gyms, markets, parks, plazas, restaurants, hairdressers and massage parlors will only be able to operate at 75%, while religious centers will only operate at 50%, as well as nightclubs, bars and social halls.

They ask to continue taking precautions such as 1.5 meters of social distancing, as well as the use of masks in closed spaces.
