The Tijuana City Hall has been promoting, for several months now, the payment of property taxes with discounts of up to 100% on fines and penalty fees. In addition to this, if you pay through the City Hall's web page (here) you will receive an additional 3% discount.

All this during the month of July, which will end tomorrow, Saturday, July 31. Although the offices are not open on weekends, there is the option to make your payment through the website.

"During the month of July, pay your property tax with zero fines and zero penalty fees. Also, get an additional 3% discount when you pay online or make your payment at the Municipal Treasury, delegations, banks, ATMs or participating convenience stores"

This payment method was created due to the crisis generated by the COVID-19 in Baja California, where authorities looked for alternative measures to make payments that were safe, easy and accessible. Below are the steps you must follow to pay your property tax from the comfort of your home:

1. Enter this website
2. Create a username and password
3. Enter your cadastral code
4. Enter the numbers that appear in the lower part
5. Click on "generate receipt" if you want to pay at a government agency or select "pay online" if you want to pay from home
