Tijuana's Municipal Institute of Art and Culture (IMAC) inaugurated the traveling exhibition "Images that change the world", by photographer Tomas Gunnarsson on July 22 . The photographic exhibition is part of the celebration of the 132nd anniversary of the city and is in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy in Mexico.

The inauguration included the intervention of Tijuana activist Oscar Soto Marbán, who reflected on the visibility of the LGBTI+ community in the city and the importance of educating about inclusion. Through these images, Swedish-born gender photographer Tomas Gunnarsson explores the norms and stereotypes used in advertising and invites the viewer to break with these labels in order to achieve more equitable societies.

The right of the LGBTI+ community to be made visible, the ways of reflecting fatherhood, women's empowerment, inclusion as a normal way of relating and skin color, are some of the topics addressed by the artist of the lens.

The photographs, reproduced in large format, are exhibited in the main hallway of the Casa de la Cultura of Tijuana and are available for viewing Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until August 31. Admission is free and for group visits for more than six people an appointment is required.

The exhibition, created thanks to the transversal work of the Coordination of the Museum of History of Tijuana and the Coordination of Galleries, will travel from September 6 to the Urban Gallery of the City, located outside the Old Municipal Palace on Segunda and Constitucion streets, in the downtown area.
