Tijuana

Tijuana will continue with hot days this week

This Monday, July 5th, Tijuana could reach temperatures of 78 degrees Fahrenheit

During this week Tijuana will continue with warm days, according to the Civil Protection Department. Especially the eastern part of the city will have warm weather, on the other hand, the coast will have less heat, due to a marine layer that will maintain cloudy conditions in the mornings and evenings.

The director of Civil Protection, Marco Antonio Navarro Sánchez, indicated that according to weather forecasts, a high pressure system will intensify during the first half of this week, generating dry and warmer conditions in the valleys.

Likewise, the minimum temperature for this Monday will be 62 degrees Fahrenheit and the maximum could reach 78 degrees Fahrenheit. A mostly sunny sky will remain with some scattered clouds and moderate wind of 13 miles per hour heading northwest.

"The days will be hotter throughout the eastern zone, while beaches will feel a little less heat, due to the entry of the sea flow to land. For Tuesday, there will be mostly cloudy skies until mid-morning, and then it will clear up as the day goes by and minimum temperatures will be 60 °F and the maximum could reach 77 °F," said the official.

For Wednesday temperatures will be between 62 and 78 degrees Celsius, although there will be clouds until mid-morning, the sky will clear during the course of the day and there will be a weak wind of 8.5 miles per hour.

Given the increase in temperatures, the Civil Protection Directorate urged citizens to protect themselves from the sun's radiation, avoiding outdoor activities between 10:00 and 16:00 hours; as well as wearing loose and comfortable clothing, hat and umbrella, hydrate constantly and avoid making bonfires, burning garbage or grass to prevent fires.
