Authorities of the Municipal System of Theme Parks of Tijuana (SIMPATT) informed that the fire that occurred near Morelos Park and affected part of the nursery area has already been controlled, with no damage reported.

The agency said that around 4:00 p.m. a fire was reported on the public road near this part of Tijuana and spread to a small area of the park, so they immediately requested support from the authorities.

He indicated that in order to allow access to firefighters, civil protection and police, the entrance was closed for a few minutes, while control tasks were being carried out, and thanks to their timely intervention, the park was operating normally in less than an hour.

He specified that both personnel of the municipal agency and tenants supported the work to extinguish the fire and that the only damage inside the facilities was of brush, with no record of material or human damage.

Currently, Simpatt maintains repair and cleaning works in the nursery to provide decent facilities for the use of all people, and urges visitors to take care of the green areas.
