Vaccination began for Tijuanenses between 40-49 years of age

As reported Wednesday in this portal, Tijuana could start vaccinating adults between 40 and 49 years old this week .

This Thursday, the head of the Secretariat of Health of Baja California, Alonso Pérez Rico, confirmed that starting Thursday, Tijuana residents in this age range will be able to attend the Government Center, also known as the Institute for Sustainable Mobility (IMOS), located at Carretera Libre Tijuana-Tecate Km. 26.5, Esquina, Bv. Nogales, in El Florido.

The vaccine that will be administered is from AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The vaccine will be administered between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Those interested are reminded to bring their proof of registration issued at mivacuna.salud.gob.mx.

Pérez Rico emphasized that for the moment IMOS is the only vaccination point where Tijuana residents between the ages of 40 and 49 can go.

Now Tijuana joins Ensenada and Mexicali as the only and largest municipalities in Baja California that are vaccinating this sector of the population.

In Baja California, a total of 375 thousand and 28 people have completed their vaccination schedule. While 696 thousand 518 have obtained at least their first dose of any of the anti-COVID vaccines.
