Griselda Duarte, rescuer and founder of the shelter "Cambiando Vidas", has filed a complaint for the sexual abuse of the 4-month-old dog Vixen, thanks to a report by Sandy Velazco.

On May 23rd, a young woman from the Altiplano neighborhood in Tijuana told Sandy that a man in a house in the area was inciting a cat to lick one of his genitals. When she arrived at the place she found the person sexually abusing Vixen, when she confronted him he became violent so Sandy left and later returned with her husband, with whom she also had a verbal argument, said Griselda.

Although the man escaped, taking with him another of his dogs and the cat, the next day he apparently returned, and only Vixen was found, which was rescued by "Cambiando Vidas" to later take her to a veterinarian in the city.

The man's whereabouts are still unknown, as the house he lived in was on loan and the owner ran him off when he learned of his actions against the animals.

The veterinarian certified that Vixen presented proctitis, in addition to signs of physical violence, contusion and imbalance due to blows to the brain. Also, fractures in the pelvis and fracture in the right radius were detected.

Griselda recently filed a complaint against the alleged aggressor before the Public Prosecutor's Office for animal mistreatment, since she has some information that can help to find him, "but the case is just being passed on to the prosecutors", she said.

According to the founder of this shelter, the authorities assured her that in case what happened is proven and it is confirmed that the man is responsible, he could spend between 1 to 3 years in jail.

Unfortunately, this is not the first case of zoophilia that "Cambiando Vidas" has received, the two previous cases they attended were of pets found in the streets, so they could not go to the authorities, since they did not have information about a possible aggressor, said Griselda.

Vixen is now safe, with walking difficulties still, but it is expected that once the legal process is finished, she will be handed over to the American foundation "Saving Huey Foundation", to continue and finish her rehabilitation, said Griselda.

It is worth mentioning that members of the "Saving Huey Foundation" have joined forces and are offering a reward of almost 2 thousand dollars to find the alleged aggressor. To learn more, click here.

Finally Griselda made an appeal: "I would like the authorities, well, we do not demand laws because the laws are already against abuse; we want them to support us in applying them, that there are sanctions, that the cases are followed up, that there is punishment so that people begin to see that they are acting badly".
