Recently, from their official website, they published a statement in which they thanked Congressman Henry Cuellar and San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria for addressing the issue of reopening the border. In addition, they revealed that officials are holding meetings with the Border Patrol (CBP) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for the lifting of border restrictions.

According to the San Ysidro Chamber of Commerce, the border restrictions "defy logic," as this does not really represent disease control, as about 100 thousand people continue to cross the border between California and Baja California.
