During yesterday's broadcast on the Government of Baja California's Facebook page, topics such as culture, water, health, education and security in the State were discussed, during which Baja California's Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico warned the population about the possible arrival of a third wave of COVID-19 at the end of April, so he stressed to take extreme precautions, especially for the Easter holiday period.
"... from March 23 to 27 active cases have been on the rise, remember that people conglomerate, get infected, get sick, go to fever clinics, hospitals, end up on a ventilator and then lose the battle, it is a sequence, and if this trend is not broken it could be the beginning of our third wave," commented Perez Rico.
In spite of these warnings issued by the State Government, the capacity in restaurants and hotels will be 100% in the region, which will not favor the prevention of infection of the current virus.
During the transmission, the Secretary of Health commented that the municipality in Baja California with the highest number of active cases currently is Mexicali with 145 cases, followed by Tijuana with 135 cases, Ensenada with 23 cases, San Quintin with 16 cases, Rosarito with nine cases, Tecate with eight cases and San Felipe with two active cases.
