Being a city close to the border with the United States, Tijuana has an endless number of temporary and permanent residents, who come to Tijuana in search of a better economy for themselves and their families, they come across the need to find a place to live, so renting real estate is the best option while having a stable and constant salary.

However, prices for real estate rentals in "La Tia Juana", as this border city is known, range between $10,000 and $15,000 Mexican pesos for houses and apartments in the busiest or most sought after areas of the town.

Gustavo Chacon Aubanel, the representative of the State Council of Real Estate Professionals commented to El Sol de Tijuana that people coming from other parts of the Republic and migrants come to the city with low budgets for renting houses or apartments, however, it is currently very difficult to find affordable prices.

The website Propiedades.com, which offers real estate for rent and annual figures, shows the average prices for these and the neighborhoods with the largest offer. According to this site, the average value of houses in areas such as Verona Residencial or Colinas de California ranges between $12,500 and $13,700 Mexican pesos, while in Lomas Hipodromo and Colinas de Agua Caliente it is between $24,100 and $40,900 Mexican pesos, while for Zona Urbana Rio Tijuana and Hacienda Agua Caliente it is $46,500 Mexican pesos.

As for apartment rental costs in Colonia Guadalupe Victoria they are approximately $13,900 Mexican pesos, on the other hand in areas such as Zona Centro and Juarez the estimated value is between $15,900 Mexican pesos and $19,900 Mexican pesos, finally, in areas with more offer such as Cacho, Residencial Agua Caliente or Chapultepec the prices range between $26,000 Mexican pesos and $33,800 Mexican pesos. The search for places with lower prices is more viable, however, the characteristics would be different, for example, the location may not be central.
