The Integral Transportation System of Tijuana (SITT) Centro-Garita-Río Tijuana pilot route began this Tuesday

Starting last Tuesday, February 2, the Centro-Garita-Río Tijuana short route of the Integral Transportation System of Tijuana (SITT) will launch as a pilot test to establish its viability, operation schedules and frequency.

This new route will start at the Centro Terminal, starting at 9:00 a.m. and running every hour until 4:00 p.m., according to SITT Director Emilio Rodríguez Ibarra.

Where will this short route pass through? The route includes the stations located on Avenida Revolución and Calle 10 in the first part of the city, as well as Paseo Centenario and Paseo de los Héroes in Zona Río.

What will be the fare for this special route? The short route will cost 10 pesos and seven pesos for people with disabilities, senior citizens and students, who must present a valid ID card that accredits them as part of these sectors of the population. Payment is made in cash, depositing the exact amount in the piggy bank.

According to Rodríguez Ibarra, once the trial period is over, its operation will be analyzed and the necessary adjustments will be made to join routes 1 "El Refugio-Puerta México" and 2 "El Refugio-Centro".

The service of route 2 "El Refugio-Centro", will continue to operate in its four daily schedules, departing from the El Refugio shuttle, at 6:00 a.m., 8:10 a.m., 3:10 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., approximately.
