Sanitary filters resume at Baja California border crossings this Thursday

The General Consulate warned about this situation that will occur in Mexicali

As it happened on Christmas Day, Christmas Eve and other festivities, the Consulate General of Mexico in San Diego announced that sanitary filters will be imposed at the Calexico-Mexicali border crossing, so they are asking that only people who must make essential trips enter the country.

The filters will remain from December 31st, at 2 p.m. until Sunday, January 3rd, at 12 a.m.

This with the purpose of protecting the health of the people before the increase of cases of coronavirus that has been manifested in both regions. The filters will verify the type of trip that the person makes to Mexico and the state of health and their temperature will be taken.

In addition, those who wish to cross the border into Mexicali must wear a mask and only two people must occupy the car. Another detail is that it will be necessary to comply with regulations for the transportation of alcoholic beverages.

Check that everything is in order and don't forget to follow the recommendations of the health authorities, since up to now Baja California has more than 34 thousand 271 cases of COVID-19 and 5 thousand 458 deaths.
