A couple of days ago, AstraZeneca gave us some excellent news, their vaccine creates an immune response in older adults and children. This turned out to be a success because it was after we learned that, unfortunately, a patient in the study had died and many people were losing confidence in the vaccine.

For his part, during a morning press conference, the Chancellor Marcelo Ebrard was in charge of revealing that this same day they will close deals and make the order for AstraZeneca's coronavirus vaccines.

He spoke of two scenarios for the distribution of the vaccine: the worst would be that the vaccine would be obtained at the end of March; the better, that the vaccine would be available by December. He added that while the United States plans to begin in January, Mexico would begin vaccination earlier, if the ideal scenario is met.

The vaccine against COVID-19 is from the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca and it is about to conclude its Phase 3 in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Brazil, and they have just resumed the same phase in the United States.
