Baja California: San Felipe has not increased its cases of coronavirus
Mexicali remains the most affected municipality in the state after adding new cases every day
In line with what is presented daily by the Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, regarding COVID-19 cases in Baja California, it has been observed that since Monday, October 12, San Felipe has remained the same in terms of the number of infections and deaths from this disease.
This place, located in Mexicali, registers from Monday to this Friday, October 16th, 309 confirmed cases and two deaths (until the cut-off date of October 15th) due to the current pandemic.
In comparison, the state capital has been increasing its positive cases, since every day it has reported new cases, as it has done until October 16, when it registered 32 of the 93 new cases in the region, adding up to a total of 9 thousand 368 positive cases out of the 20 thousand 757 found in Baja California.
In the case of deaths, there were 3 new deaths caused by COVID-19 in Mexicali, making a total of one thousand 607 of the 3 thousand 698 registered in the state.
Although the week is not over yet, since it is expected that on Saturday, October 17, Perez Rico will update these figures according to what happened during this Friday, October 16; up to now, 374 cases of coronavirus are still active in the region, two are located in San Felipe, while 176 of them are in Mexicali.
It is worth mentioning that at least 13 thousand 590 Baja Californians have managed to recover from COVID-19.
