San Diego County announces free flu shots

The vaccine is recommended for everyone over 6 months of age.

The county is intensifying prevention and promotion of vaccines this season. The flu vaccine is no exception.

Like every year, the county is sponsoring free flu shots at different clinics.

This year there are 6 clinics available: children older than 6 months and adults can get the vaccine. October and November will be the available season. Here we tell you where you can go:

October 22nd
North Central Public Health Center - 5055 Ruffin Rd, San Diego, CA 92123

October 24th
South Public Health Center - 690 Oxford St., Chula Vista, CA 91911

October 27th
North Coastal Public Health Center - 3609 Ocean Ranch Blvd, Oceanside, CA 92056

October 28th
Central Public Health Center VIP Trailer - 3177A Oceanview Blvd, San Diego, CA 92113

October 29th
East Public Health Center - 367 N. Magnolia Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020

November 3rd
North Inland Public Health Center - 640 W. Mission Ave # 2, Escondido, CA 92025

All clinics will be providing the service from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The vaccine is safe and effective. And it is further recommended for:

- People with medical conditions
- Pregnant women
- People of 65 years of age or more
- People who care for others who are at risk
