10 Coronavirus patients intubated on Friday in Baja California

The Secretary of Health confirmed that until the cut-off date of October 8 there were 64 intubated patients, while as of October 9 there are 74

As it has been noted, the daily updates of the Secretary of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, show the last figures regarding the COVID-19 present in Baja California, until the cut off of a previous day.

Thus, in the update of this Saturday, October 10, Perez Rico mentioned that during Friday, October 9, ten patients were intubated for coronavirus in the state in a single day: "Yesterday we had 64 intubated patients; today we have 74".

According to the Secretary of Health, out of these ten patients, one is located at the Department of Health while the remaining nine are at the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), so the latter institution went from having 32 to 41 patients in this condition, as explained by Perez Rico.

In total, Baja California has 74 intubated patients due to the COVID-19 disease up to this Saturday morning, although compared to 30 days ago, the region had 89, said the expert.

On the other hand, active cases in the state continue to be 393, of which 181 are located in Mexicali, while 99 are in Tijuana.

At the same time, there are 20 thousand 273 positive cases and 3 thousand 648 deaths, although at least 12 thousand 745 patients have recovered from coronavirus in the state.
