The state government announced that Baja California has gone under the orange traffic light in terms of the COVID-19 epidemiological chart, while the mayor of Tijuana, Arturo Gonzalez, said that the occupation of public spaces such as parks and beaches has increased to 50%.

Until yesterday afternoon, the boardwalk of Playas de Tijuana remained closed and without access to the public. The case is different for Morelos and De La Amistad parks, which now, besides being able to receive more visitors, will resume renting kiosks and barbecues for events.

It was reported that the 10 community centers of the DIF and the 24 municipal sports units will operate at 30% of their capacity and it was urged that those businesses that have not reactivated their work approach the different departments in order to establish sanitary protocols that will allow them to reopen safely.

The mayor urged citizens not to lower their guard: "COVID-19 is not over yet. For the good of all, continue to take care of the healthy distance and the use of face masks so that all of us in Tijuana will get out of this pandemic faster".
