It is worth mentioning that on Friday afternoon, September 25, health authorities of the federal government placed Baja California under yellow light. In view of this, the Secretary of Health of this entity explained that:

"We continue doing what we have been doing since the beginning of this pandemic. The decisions that are taken are by Baja Californians, fully knowing our territory, understanding our dynamics: labor, health, mobility," said Perez Rico, but he said that moving from yellow to green, can only be decided by the state health authority, being in this case the governor, "we know our state better," he added.

So far, Baja California has accumulated 19 thousand and 62 positive cases, 3 thousand 480 deaths by COVID-19, and still has 317 active cases. However, at least 11 thousand 106 patients have recovered.
