Baja California remains under red light: More than 50% of the infections are registered in Mexicali

So far, active cases have decreased significantly in the state to 165

The Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, updated this Monday morning, September 21, on the COVID-19 cases in Baja California.

So far, regarding the number of positive cases, which total 18 thousand 542 in the state, Mexicali has registered more than 50% of them, 8 thousand 547.

And although the state capital is also the municipality with the most active cases, which cause infections to continue, at the state level they have decreased significantly in recent days, registering only 165, of which 60 are located in Mexicali.

Unfortunately, 3 thousand 394 Baja Californians have died from this disease, of which one thousand 518 are Mexicali residents.

On the other hand, at least 10 thousand 670 patients from this region have recovered from coronavirus, most of them Mexicali natives.

In view of this panorama, to this day Baja California remains under red light of the COVID-19, epidemiological traffic light chart, according to the Secretary of Health.
