More than 3 thousand health professionals have had coronavirus in Baja California

According to the Secretary of Health, at least 142 of these personnel are still active cases in the state

During the COVID-19 active cases update in Baja California, the Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, dedicated a moment to announce the number of health professionals who have tested positive for coronavirus in the state, a total of 3 thousand 349.

According to Perez Rico, a large part of this total are personnel of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), where one thousand 640 of this amount are accumulated.

In turn, the Secretary of Health clarified that this number represents the personnel that once had COVID-19, but no longer has, being 142 professionals who are currently active cases of this virus in the state.

Unfortunately, 34 of these professionals have lost their lives because of this virus, of which 11 were doctors, 7 nurses, and 16 more from other areas, indicated Perez Rico.
