The Municipal System of Theme Parks of Tijuana (SIMPATT) reported the birth of an albino peacock, unique to Morelos Park.
"For the XXIII City Council of Tijuana and for the municipal president, it is an honor to have this specimen in the city. We continue working to guarantee a safe and comfortable habitat, not only for this new member of Morelos Park, but for each of the 39 species of the local zoo," explained SIMPATT Director Juan Alberto Gomez Barcenas.
What is recommended?
The Municipal Government reiterates to citizens and visitors that we work and contribute to the environment of Morelos Park. Likewise, they ask to respect the spaces where the animals are located and not to give them food, in order to guarantee their safety.
"In a natural habitat, albino peacocks do not survive much, due to their low tolerance to solar rays and their weakness to hide from predators, so it is recommended to keep them in captivity" details Gomez Barcenas.
