During the weekend there was a large number of people visiting Ensenada's beaches, which is why authorities decided to close this open-air space by closing it off to avoid risks and the spread of COVID-19.

The director of Municipal Public Security, Adrian Ortiz, invited the population not to attend the beaches and other spaces that remain closed.

At various points in the port and through a megaphone, the police were busy removing people from the boardwalk and from various parking lots.

Among the most visited places during the weekend were Playa La Misión, Playitas area, Playa Hermosa, Plaza Civica de la Patria, tourist inns, walkways and public parks in the city.

Within this panorama, people were reminded that attending private beaches can be risky, since there is no lifeguard surveillance in such places, which increases the risk of drowning.

The Ensenada Government has indicated that only the Playa Hermosa area is open for athletic activities, such as walking, running and surfing in a safe manner, available from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
