Summer is almost over and will not leave without having left one of the hottest days in the region, it is assumed that this week we could have the hottest days of the month.

A heat wave classified as "dangerous" by the National Weather Service (NWS) will arrive this weekend, lasting about four days and descending on San Diego County and Tijuana starting Friday, producing temperatures in the range of up to 32 degrees on local beaches.

For the state of Baja California, the ]NMS forecasts peak temperatures of up to 50 degrees.

A warning of excessive heat will be in effect from noon on Friday to 9 p.m. Monday in San Diego and forecasters say the heat wave is likely to extend into the middle of next week.

The weather service said the heat wave poses a potentially dangerous threat because it will produce sustained heat during the day and unusual hot conditions at night.
