The national craft beer industry is experiencing an exponential growth. Especially, Baja California, where there are many craft breweries that consolidate the region as 'the craft beer capital of Mexico'. Particularly to Tijuana, a city that has won international awards thanks to its beers.

The most recent awards achieved by Baja California's beers come from RateBeer. This is one of the most important beer rating platforms globally.

The list includes three recognitions by country: Best Brewery, Best Beer and Best New Brewery. In the case of Mexico, the awards were obtained by craft breweries from Tijuana.

In the first two categories, one of the pioneers in the production of craft beer in Tijuana was nominated, the Cervecería Insurgente. Their 'Hops and Chill' was considered the best beer in Mexico for the ranking. Moreover, Madueño Brewing Company prevailed in the category of Best New Brewery.

The users of the platform were those who selected the winners of the three categories mentioned. Insurgente and Madueño have different styles of craft beers that allow them to compete in the national and international market.
