Tijuana will host the 16th edition of the Festival de la India!

Music, dances, vegetarian food, a parade and many surprises!

The Festival de la India (Festival of India) has already become a tradition in Tijuana, arriving this 2019 its 16th edition, with the parade of the Ratha Yatra.

Next Sunday, September 22, starting at 12:00 pm, the parade will begin on Avenida Niños Héroes and will end at the Torre Agua Caliente Park. In this parade the deities show up for the benefit of people's spiritual liberation.

The cars are pulled with ropes by the assistants and it symbolizes attracting purification to our heart, the body is the chariot and the soul is the deity that lives within it, and the wisdom acts as the controller of the mind and thoughts.

Throughout the parade, they go singing the Maha Mantra, dancing, informing and giving candies to the public.

At the end of the tour, in the Torre Aguacaliente park, attendees will be able to try for free the vegetarian food of India, enjoy the music groups, their traditional dances, literature, gastronomy, astrology, beauty, health, scents, performances , yoga exhibition, and a children's area.

Everything will be free, so you can go that weekend and learn a little about another culture.
