Ambassador Marcela Celorio Mancera, Consul General of Mexico in San Diego, is proposed for the same position in the city of Los Angeles, California.
Celorio Mancera has been a member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 1999, with the rank of Ambassador since 2017. has been a Counselor for Political Affairs at the Embassy in Belgium and the European Union (EU) as well as Consul attached to the General Consulate in New York She has occupied the Chancellery Headquarters in Israel
She is a lawyer by The Free Law School. Have a Master in International Studies from the Matías Romero Institute and a Master in Security and National Defense from the National Defense College of the Ministry of National Defense and a Diploma in History of Israel from the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center.
Among her achievements, promotion of dual citizenship. She is aware of the recognition and the needs of Mexicans abroad. Los Angeles, California, is one of the areas with the largest population of Mexican descent. Her proposal to occupy the post of Consul General of Mexico in that city is an intelligent move by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
