In Mexico, the operations of manufacturing, maquiladora and export services companies are regulated, among other provisions, by the “Decree for the Promotion of Manufacturing, Maquiladora and Export Services Industry” (Decreto IMMEX- IMMEX Decree), published in the Official Newspaper of the Federation (DOF) on November 1, 2006, which aims to encourage and make procedures easy for these companies to perform industrial processes or services of exporting goods and provide the services regarding such activity .
In its regulatory scope, the IMMEX Decree contains various precepts that establish obligations and formalities that companies must comply with, in order for the program to be authorized in the respective modality and maintain the validity of the registration.
