"Your Footprint Is the Way, Your Flag Is Peace", was the name of the art installation of Betsabeé Romero, which was located in Playas de Tijuana near the wall that divides Mexico from the U.S.
The more than a hundred flags and 100 feet of wood, were put along the beach to continue to the other side of the border.
On Saturday, Oct. 7 the artist began with the installation of this work that seeks to give a message that crosses borders.
The assembly of the piece was achieved in collaboration with several authorities, but mainly the artist's own initiative.
The installation represents the transit of the migrants, a process that border citizens know perfectly.
Each of the wooden frames contained message, which is placed on one of the white flags that wave in the wind.
Sadly it has already been removed, but pictures remain and it reminds us that art is, and will always be, the perfect way to express ourselves.
