TIJUANA.- Adrián Macías Díaz graduated with a Communication degree from the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) in 2010, and now teaches "Non-fiction Film Direction" in the Faculty of Administrative and Social Sciences, Campus Ensenada.

Díaz obtained the maximum recognition in an International Film Festival realized in the city of Monterrey.

Adrián received the "Cabrito de Plata" Award for his documentary "Mujeres de mano cálidas," (Women of Warm Hands), which was considered the best feature film in Nuevo León, where the midwives in the rural regions have had to find a way to train and adapt to the new times.

In an interview with the UABC Gazette magazine, the award-winner commented: "When I realized the importance of these characters I felt the need to know them more thoroughly and tell their stories, for what they mean to the world."

He is currently working on a music documentary called Rampage. In November a performance will be held for the ensenadenses, so stay tuned to his social media!
