San Diego- The San Diego Padres team honored the Tijuana Toros (Bulls), prior to season's final game at Petco Park.
In the presence of the vice president, Blanca Uribe, general manager Antonio Cano, public relations manager, Nelly Sanoja, the mascot, 'Toro Torin,' Oscar Robles, and Carmelita , a tribute was held to the brand new champions of the Mexican League of Baseball.
Even the legendary Padres chronicler, Eduardo Ortega Diaz, was there and in charge of announcing the starting lineup, Robles, who since 2007 had not stepped on "The Eden of Baseball"was in charge of throwing the first ball.
It should be noted that this is the second tribute that Toros had received in the last ten days, because last September 15, the board of the Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles of Caliente did the same during the half time of a game against Las Águilas.
