The Baja California Tourism Ministry (Secture) is preparing for it's second annual Baja Fest, in honor of World Tourism Day.
A month from now, the 2017 Baja Fest will take place on the grounds of the Baja Film Studios lot (site of the old Foxploration theme park) in Rosarito.
The best of the best of what Baja has to offer will be on display and ready to enjoy at the event, described Oscar Escobedo, the head of Secture.
They're hoping to surpass the 2,000 person attendance from last year, betting on both the best and newest Food Trucks craft breweries, musicians and other services from the state.
Among the bands confirmed for the event's stage or Takón Machine, DJ Chucuchú, Efecto Iguana, among others.
Even though World Tourism Day is celebrated on September 27, the event will be held on Saturday 30, so that more people are able to attend.
The day's events also include an awards ceremony, just like last year, for the best photographs and videos from the Tourism Ministry's annual contest meant to promote tourism in Baja California.
Event info
It's on Saturday, September 30, and doors open at 2:00 p.m. and the event will be over by 11:00 p.m.
Worth remembering that the event is "completely free", but you do need a ticket for admission. You can obtain said tickets through Secture's social media or sponsors like EXA FM radio station and others.
You won't be able to enter if you don't have a ticket. Even if they're free.
There will be 300 tickets on sale for 50 pesos the day of the event, with the proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Rosarito. Don't get too confident though, last year's attendance was at least 2,000 people, so 300 tickets aren't a lot.
You can even bring your pet! The event is also 100% PetFriendly.
