The Municipal Public Safety Directorate (DSPM) of Ensenada, reported the detection of the high number of people who do not use masks during their transit through the city, so authorities made a call for the use of masks.

It was explained that in the random filters they have observed that many bring the mask stored in the bag and only put them on to enter establishments.

According to Edgar Salgado Martínez, spokesman for the DSPM, in the recent filters they registered 453 pedestrians without a mask, as well as 635 vehicle companions and 334 passengers of public transportation in Ensenada. A total of 8 thousand 565 vehicles were checked and the temperature was taken from 9 thousand 728 people.

Martínez Salgado mentioned that the purpose of these filters is mainly to generate awareness among the citizens, so they will insist that people use this type of barrier correctly, in addition to the application of antibacterial gel and hand washing.

The plan is to continue with this monitoring until December 20, while as part of the operation "Safe December", is also going to shopping malls and banking areas, where they will even provide talks on these health measures.
