Mexican singer Thalía and Spanish actor Javier Bardem are the only two Hispanic artists whose star will be unveiled this 2013 on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
The list, composed by 24 artists encompassing television, music, motion pictures, theater and radio, was made public by Hollywood's Chamber of Commerce.
"I just saw a webcast of the Walk of Fame and they announced that I'm finally getting my star" wrote the interpreter of "Amor a la Mexicana" on her Twitter account.
Besides them, there are other big names in the list: TV host Ellen DeGeneres, bands Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block besides Jennifer Hudson and others.
The posthumous homage will be to Janis Joplin, American rock and blues singer whose powerful voice and rebellious spirit made her earn a name a few decades back.
The Walk of Fame is a tourist attraction for Hollywood's visitors and is also a tribute to gifted performers from the arts.
