Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, the mayor of Tijuana, is currently leading polls as a candidate of the "Seguimos Haciendo Historia" coalition as she is currently 18 points ahead of her main competitor.
According to a new poll by pollster Buendía y Márquez, the current mayor of Tijuana is the frontrunner to win this year's election.
Caballero Ramírez has an electoral preference of 50% among people who were polled regarding the mayor's office of Tijuana, while former boxer Érik "Terrible" Morales obtained 32% of the votes.
Buendía y Márquez is the pollster that predicted the triumphs of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and National Coordinator of the Fourth Transformation, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
She was the one who said that the election method for the candidate of this coalition would be a poll, as there is no unanimity for a specific candidate.
Montserrat Caballero Ramírez recently announced that the 24th Municipal Administration had settled the municipality's public debt to prevent interests and give Tijuana natives financial freedom medium and long term.
Meanwhile, in the last few days, a report of Morales about him abusing and sexually harassing one of his former workers was revealed.
