Next Monday, January 9, 2023, the Pedestrian West facility at the San Ysidro Port of Entry will open. Better known as the PedWest port of entry from Tijuana to San Ysidro, it will be opened with limited hours of operation from 6 AM to 2 PM, according a statement released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The Port Director of the San Ysidro Port of Entry, Marzia Marín stated that this is the work they’re doing to provide additional crossing flexibility and service to binational communities, while, at the same time, working to restore these services to how they were before the pandemic. The main goal, according to director Marin, is to provide a better experience for travelers coming into the United States through the San Ysidro port of entry.
