Marina del Pilar is the third best rated governor in all of Mexico

Once more, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda distinguishes herself as one of the Top 3 Mexican governors with the highest approval ratings

There is no doubt that Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda is one of the most beloved state leaders in all of Mexico. Month after month, she has ranked in the Top 3 Governors with the highest approval ratings in the country. As one would assume, September 2022 has been no exception.

According to a poll by Demoscopia Digital, of the 32 governors, the governor of Baja California is #3 with an approval rating of 65.3%. She is only behind Mauricio Villa of PAN (National Action Party), governor of Yucatan, and the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum.

Ávila Olmeda’s approval rating is noteworthy because it represents an increase compared to the last few months; for example, in August her approval rating was 62.6%. This means that her popularity went up almost 1 percentage point.

This doesn’t surprise us because since the beginning of Marina del Pilar’s administration she has carried out initiatives that are meant to improve the quality of life of Baja Californians. One of the most important recently announced projects was the elevated train that will connect Tijuana with Playas de Rosarito.

In addition, Marina del Pilar recently toured Germany where she expects to establish an alliance with Germany in order to correctly make use of the railway industry of Baja California, which resulted in the possibility of acquiring electric cars. If this ends up happening, it would be a modern and ecological option for the state.

Among other things, Marina del Pilar recognizes the importance of the cross-border region, which is why she has kept an excellent relation with San Diegan and Californian authorities and has even laid the first foundation stone at the Otay II Port of Entry.
