Governor Marina del Pilar announces new investments for Baja California

During the current administration more than $1,2 billion dollars have been invested in Baja California; more revenue is expected in the next few months

Baja California has become one of the most representative states regarding greater investment nationwide. During the first semester of 2022, more than $1,260.6 billion dollars have been invested as recorded by the Secretariat of Economy and Innovation (SEI) which will benefit Baja Californians with more sources of employment and better wages. In addition, another investment of $900 million dollars is expected in the next few months which will also result in more and greater jobs for the state’s families. This was stated by Governor Marina del Pilar during today’s press conference where she announced the construction of an industrial plant by company Rheem.

The state governor stated that this company is a worldwide reference when it comes to manufacturing water heaters with heat pumps, products that don’t negatively impact the environment. It should be noted that this company has made of Mexico an essential component of its North American supply line when manufacturing this product. This is why Marina del Pilar thanked specially this company’s leaders for maintaining permanent dialogue with authorities and trusting Baja California as a region where they all can grow.

“They say that innovating is a risk activity, but the main risk is to not do it. Here we have the innovators that have chosen Baja California to continue growing, in this state that provides unsurpassable conditions that will create more and better job and investment opportunities,” she said.

With data by SEI, the governor explained that Baja California has maintained an economic growth of 3.5%, being fourth place regarding job creation nationwide. This is only possible due to the signature dynamism of its people and the permanent collaboration between the state administration and the business sector to achieve all objectives. A priority, Ávila Olmeda added, is to give judicial certainty to companies so that they understand that Baja California respects the rule of law.

Marina del Pilar announces new school routes in Baja California’s rural areas

In order to ensure students’ mobility in the state’s rural areas in order to strengthen their educational development and build a better future, Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda presented the State’s Comprehensive School Transportation System. As part of this event, she announced to the Baja Californian people that four new routes will be established starting September. Hundreds of students, located at Valle de las Palmas, located between the cities of Tijuana and Tecate will be aided, all of which will be added to the 17 who are currently in operation in Valle de Mexicali benefitting more than 1,500 young people. The governor added that in 2023 there will be an additional route that will begin operations in San Quintin.

At this event, that took place in COBACH Ciudad Morelos facilities in Mexicali, Marina del Pilar reiterated her support for Baja Californian youth, who are a priority for her administration and one of the main objectives of the public policies that are currently being implemented. As such, she stated that the state government of Baja California is carrying out actions to give young people the tools and instruments they need to achieve their goals.
