Marina del Pilar's government is progressing on infrastructure projects in Baja, California

They are currently working on 54 projects around the state

The execution of social impact projects is a top priority for the administration of Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda of Baja California, for which the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territorial Reorganization (SIDURT) launched a program to address the state's most pressing needs.

Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, the SIDURT's director, revealed that 54 projects are underway across the state: 18 in Mexicali, 15 in Tijuana, 16 in Ensenada, and five in Tecate.

The construction on Mexicali's Historic Center, known as La Chinesca, is 92.3 percent complete and expected to be finished this month. Milling asphalt, replacement of drinking water lines, sanitary drainage, and pluvial drainage, construction of garrisons, hydraulic concrete crossings and pedestrian crossings, installation of urban furniture, public lighting system, and underground power, telephone, and internet lines were all completed.

Similarly, in the capital city, the Abasolo highway is being modernized; we have made 86 percent physical progress and expect to finish in February. Reconstruction of 4.12 kilometers of road with two traffic lanes in each direction and shoulders and horizontal and vertical signage were among the operations.

The building of the Lázaro Cárdenas Road Node and Calzada de los Presidentes (Ro Nuevo), which is now at physical progress of 62 percent and is expected to be completed in April of this year, is one of the most significant projects for the State capital. A 360-meter vehicular bridge with three traffic lanes in each direction, two disincorporation loops towards Ro Nuevo, two lateral roads perpendicular to the bridge, and two incorporation roads to Ro Nuevo are all part of this project.

Work on the public lighting network, as well as the repair of pluvial crossings, is being carried out in Tijuana, on the Tijuana-Rosarito 2000 Corridor, with an investment of 9.73 million pesos and a physical advance of 95 percent over a length of 14 kilometers, with a completion date in February of this year.

The magisterial bridge in the municipality of Playas de Rosarito is progressing at a rate of 48 percent; beam manufacture is complete and beams are already on site, and column casting is complete. Two heads have already been cast, and four more are now being prepared. Drinking water and sanitary sewage networks are still being relocated, with a completion deadline of April 20 this year.

In Ensenada, work on the El Gallo Road Distributor is progressing, with general physical progress of 30% expected in April of this year. The construction work included preliminary diversion works, relocation of existing drinking water network lines, sanitary drainage, storm drainage, and electrical installations, among other things.

The building of the "El Gallo" road distributor will provide a continuous flow in one of Ensenada's most important crossroads, where a significant number of freight trucks is expected, as well as the natural flow of local and long-distance vehicles coming or going to the south of the state. The continuous flow of all directions movements is assured with the intermediate step and the gauzes that make up this work, being the superior level of the distributor, the one that permits the continuous flow of the Reforma Avenue, one of the most significant in the city.
