Marina del Pilar promotes that the budget for 2022 promotes Baja California's well-being

Women, those with disabilities, the elderly, sports, and culture will receive more support

The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar, announced that the State Expenditure Budget for 2022 law incorporates a new focused approach that will focus on the well-being of those who most need support, the promotion of peace, and the detonation of infrastructure projects, this being a movement with broad and historical support from Mexican society and for the Fourth Transformation.

The president praised the State Congress' unanimous adoption of the 2022 Economic Package and their readiness to work with the Executive Power to achieve a better future for Baja Californians.

In this regard, he noted that it is a budget that was created from the ground up, but is anchored in the Fourth Transformation's values, as it includes projects that were analyzed and agreed upon with Mexico's President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, particularly to strengthen support schemes for vulnerable groups in the State, such as the elderly and people with disabilities.

The budget, which totals 62 million 878 thousand 321 pesos, was approved by the Finance and Budget Commission through Opinion 68 and included creating and strengthening various Secretariats, including Tourism, Social Inclusion, and Gender Equity Citizen Security, Environment and Fisheries, and other dependencies.

Similarly, the budget includes increases to Culture and Sports activities, as well as a historical boost to women, both of which are priority areas for Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, who has stated that it is through art and the practice of sport, such as support for women, that the social fabric is strengthened. Young people are kept away from antisocial activities like organized crime and the violence that it causes.

On the other hand, a significant public investment in infrastructure is included to carry out works that have been widely requested by the State's productive sectors and the general public, as well as the considerations made by the construction sector, which has asked for not only an increase in the amount of money allocated to project realization but also that local companies be given special consideration.

Finally, Governor Marina del Pilar underlined her commitment to using resources to benefit the poorest people and their future, putting into action the ideas that differentiate the Fourth Transformation, which includes "for the advantage of all, first the poor," among other things.
