Unfortunately for those who have to work in the United States, the lines continue to be a nightmare. This morning users of Cómo está la línea have reported up to 5 hours in line at the Tijuana-Otay crossing, while the San Ysidro border crossing is reported to be quite slow (this includes the crosswalk).
According to multiple users, they have had to get up at 2 or 3 a.m. and at 8 a.m. they are still waiting. As is logical and recurrent, incidents are reported with the so-called "gaviotas" (seagulls) who in exchange for cash allow others to get into the lines.
As has happened in the past, the Border Patrol has not given any explanation as to the reason for the waiting times this Thursday. It is worth noting that this time there have been no reports of illegal crossing attempts or demonstrations by Central American immigrants.
