Governor elect Marina del Pilar recognizes AMLO's leadership

The next governor of Baja California declared her respect for the nation's president, Andres Manuel López Obrador, as well as his work as founder of the 4T

This Thursday, June 24, Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, governor elect of the state of Baja California, was one of the participants in the meeting of elected governors of MORENA and the "Juntos Haremos Historia" coalition headed by President Andres Manuel López Obrador, with the purpose of forming ties with state governments and Mexico's federal administration.

After the meeting held in Mexico City, Marina del Pilar expressed that, with the leadership of President López Obrador, Baja California will continue on the path of transformation that began in 2018, was ratified in 2019 and consolidated in 2021, with the resounding triumph that MORENA had in Baja California lands, taking "carro completo (full cart)" electoral.

Likewise, he added that in the meeting they discussed diverse topics about Baja California, such as the need for more National Guard elements, infrastructure, the countryside and the situation of the fishermen of San Felipe and the farmers of San Quintín, as President López Obrador expressed his joy of visiting the entity this weekend.

It was at the National Palace where the governors elected shared typical Mexican food in the company of the national leader, in addition to raising relevant issues and reaffirming the alliance that will exist between the state governments and the Presidency of the Republic, to achieve results in favor of the wellbeing of the inhabitants.

"I thanked him on behalf of all Baja Californians for the social support, for the vaccines donated by the United States and sent as the first state to Baja California, and for the genuine interest that our President has in our state, and the fact that the President really loves Baja California," she said.

The first woman to govern Baja California in the history of the state recognized the President of Mexico as the founder of the Fourth Transformation, and pointed out that there is great affection among Baja Californians towards him, who at the polls on June 6th endorsed the hope of building a better state and a better country.

In the same sense, he thanked the President for his hospitality in receiving the governors, and said that there will be an absolute willingness to dialogue for the benefit of all, since coordination between the different levels of government is key to move forward with projects and materialize the transformation of Baja California.

In addition to Marina del Pilar, the meeting was attended by Víctor Castro from Baja California Sur, Indira Vizcaíno from Colima, Layda Sansores from Campeche, Evelyn Salgado from Guerrero, Lorena Cuéllar from Tlaxcala, Miguel Navarro from Nayarit, Alfredo Ramírez from Michoacán, Alfonso Durazo from Sonora, Rubén Rocha from Sinaloa and David Monreal from Zacatecas.
