As the head of the Ministry of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, has explained on other occasions, the Effective Reproduction Rate (ERR) is an indicator that indicates how many people a person can infect with COVID-19.

Currently the ERR in Baja California is 0.81, which means that a person who tested positive for COVID in the state can infect only one other person.

However, among the seven municipalities that make up the entity, "where is the virus being transmitted the most? in Rosarito," said Pérez Rico, since its Effective Reproduction Rate is 0.93.

And although this is not entirely wrong, as it is desirable to be below one, compared to the rest is the highest in the region. On the other hand, Tijuana is the municipality where more active cases are located until yesterday morning, adding 483 of the one thousand 174 registered by the state.

Regarding positive cases, Mexicali has accumulated 14 thousand 809 of the 36 thousand 803 that have occurred since the beginning of the pandemic.

In the case of deaths caused by COVID-19 in Baja California, 6 thousand 121 in total, 2 thousand 701 have occurred in Tijuana.
