Participation for the Copa Baja 2019 contest is closed, where a select group of experts will choose the best beers of each style proposed by the participating beer houses. The results of the cup will be published at the Mxli Beer Fest 2019, this November 14 and 15 in Mexicali.

The Copa Baja 2019, organized by the Asociación de Micro Cerveceros de Mexicali, opened participation nationwide with the intention of raising the level of competition. With the confirmation of renowned international judges for the cup, the goal of keeping the level of professionalism to the fullest is fulfilled.

All this will happen at the fourth edition of the Mexicali Beer Fest, which will open to the public from Saturday 16; one day after the announcement of the winners. This will allow visitors to try each of the winning beers and compare them with the rest of the proposals presented.

This great event will be based on the historic Avenida Obregón, where they will close a part of the street to receive visitors from all over the state. Just like the successful edition of 2018, for this occasion, with the participation of more than 50 breweries from Baja California and national brands that will attend the festival, the highest quality beers will be at this festival.

Judges invited: Steve Piatz, John Watson, Robert Horst, Doug Brown, Travis Hammond, Larry Stein, Amy Spackman, Charles Porter, Brian Trout, Oleg Shpyrko, as well as two of the greatest of the craft beer: Ryan Brooks and John Palmer.

Professionalizing the Copa Baja 2019 competition will be key to raise the level of the event, and in a few years, it can become a benchmark of the quality of the craft beer produced in Mexico.
