Tijuanense Writer Wins The "Fundación El Libro" Literary Prize In Buenos Aires

The book is based on 9 characters and their stories

The second edition of the "Fundación el Libro" literary prize in Buenos Aires, announced on Tuesday this year's winner, Daniel Salinas Basave, who was born in Monterrey but considers himself a Tijuanense at heart. Salinas won 375,000 pesos and the publication of his book "Juglares del Bordo."

This book was received among 200 unpublished originals from different parts of the world, such as Germany, Colombia, Chile, United States, Mexico, and others. The jury was composed of Eduardo Lalo, Ana María Shua, Carlos Gamerro, Jorge Lafforgue and Mempo Giardinelli, who highlighted the thematic originality of the work as well as internal coherence and sensitivity.

The book "Juglares del Bordo" is based on 9 characters and their stories.

This book will be presented at the next International Book Fair of Buenos Aires, which this year reaches its 44th edition.

Salinas Basave is a writer and journalist of the Mexican border and has written about 12 books.
