Uber and Xolos Join Forces for Tijuana's Soccer Fans

UberXolos premieres today

With the goal (no pun intended) of easing traffic in the city, Uber and Xolos announced a new alliance that will offer Xolofans another alternative to get to the team's stadium. Which is why the UberXolos code will give a $150 pesos credit for new users on their first ride.

Some users may win tickets for this game and others may win official Xolos merch like autographed jerseys, baseball caps and t-shirts when hailing an UberXOLOS, starting this Friday October 15 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in Tijuana. Each vehicle will have a surprise given at random.

"Uber is an innovative company that is always up-to-date and aware of the city's user's transit needs, which is how this initiative between these two companies was born. This service is to provide mobility to the fan who travels alone or with his or her family," said Esteban de Anda, Club Tijuana's Communications Manager.

Uber is a tech platform that connects private drivers with users that need to move around in a comfortable and safe way, currently in more than 300 cities of 53 countries worldwide.

Alejandro Chouza, Uber's General Manager in Tijuana, shared the reasons why they decided to cooperate with the team. "We are very happy in announcing this Xolos alliance. Here at Uber we seek to offer our users a safe transit alternative, especially when we know they want to enjoy a beer or two. We also know that getting to the stadium can be pretty stressful, that's where Uber comes in and makes the journey a much pleasant experience."
